CAIS Joins DTCC AIP Reporting Protocol

Press Release

CAIS Streamlines Alternative Investments Reporting Protocol

CAIS, the leading independent exchange for in-demand financial products servicing the global wealth management industry, has implemented the Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation’s (DTCC) Alternative Investment Products (AIP) protocol, standardizing and automating the historically cumbersome process of trade settlement, position reporting and account administration for alternative investments.

“We are very pleased to announce the integration of this protocol with the CAIS exchange, which will assist independent wealth advisors, private banks and a growing number of major custodial players in streamlining reporting and reconciliation for alternative investments, particularly hedge fund investments,” said Jeremy Norton, Managing Principal of CAIS. “The DTCC AIP protocol delivers operational efficiency and ongoing monitoring for all funds on the CAIS exchange, providing greater transparency and efficiency for our clients.”

DTCC’s AIP protocol links global market participants, including broker/dealers, fund managers, administrators and custodians, to provide end-to-end processing of alternative investments. The protocol addresses the manual operational issues that challenge the alternative investment community, creating economies of scale through increased efficiency, reduced operational risk and lowered cost.

“With the increasing demand for alternatives, we are committed to remaining at the cutting edge of technology which enables our advisors to compete for clients.” Mr. Norton said. “The DTCC AIP protocol will help wealth managers improve reporting and client service, enhance functionality and reconciliation and provide data integrity and security.”
