Position: Senior Director, Investment Research

David Hood leads the manager research and due diligence team in the Investment Group and works in the Raleigh, NC office.

David joined CAPTRUST in 2009 and is a senior director of the investment group and head of CAPTRUST’s manager research and due diligence team, which is comprised of a traditional, multi-asset, and alternatives team.

In this role, David leads the bottom-up investment direction of the firm across CAPTRUST’s defined contribution, endowment and foundation and wealth management businesses both from an advisory and discretionary basis.

David is also responsible for the strategic direction of the team and serves as a member of the firm’s investment committee.

When not at work, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two children. As a family they enjoy traveling, outdoor activities, art and music.
