How SEIA Enhances Structured Investments Transparency and Efficiency With CAIS

Eugene Lev, Financial Advisor at SEIA, shares how the CAIS platform helps him deliver structured investment solutions while enhancing transparency and efficiency.

The Challenge

Organizing Custom Structured Investments at Scale

For Eugene Lev, a financial advisor at SEIA, structured investments represent a way to help clients pursue more personalized portfolio approaches. Many of his clients seek income or growth solutions designed to match their individual risk profiles and market views. But managing the complexity of multiple custom notes from various issuers created challenges.

Before adopting CAIS, Lev often received uncoordinated outreach from different banks, each with its own documentation and reporting formats. “When we first started using structured notes, it was just the Wild West,” shares Lev. “It was a lot of solicitation from different US banks; nothing was really organized.”

That lack of organization made it difficult to efficiently review performance, retrieve key terms, and provide clear updates—especially as time passed and documentation piled up.

The Solution

Leveraging CAIS for Centralized Access and Transparency

CAIS provided SEIA with centralized access designed to streamline its use of structured notes. What once required searching through paper files or manually reconstructing note details can now be more efficiently located within the platform. “Back in the day we would have to literally save all the hard copies, and then a few years down the line come back and say, ‘Okay, this custom note—what are the terms? ... Versus now, it’s all nicely archived within the [platform],” recalls Lev.

With performance data and documentation accessible in one place, SEIA’s clients now have greater visibility into their structured investments. “Our clients get a lot more visibility into an asset that’s usually opaque for them and their custodians, which is very helpful,” he says.

What’s Next

Continuing To Personalize Portfolios Through Structured Solutions

Lev sees continued potential for structured investments as tools to help tailor portfolios. As markets evolve, so do client needs, and structured notes may help align those needs with market exposures or risk profiles.

By continuing to use the CAIS platform to access, organize, and monitor these investments, SEIA aims to deliver more transparent, tailored experiences to deepen trust and engagement.
