CAIS Hosts Series of Educational Sessions and Annual Dinner

CAIS, a New York-based financial technology company providing an independent, alternative investment platform to the wealth management industry, recently held a series of events in New York City to provide its clients educational opportunities and overall market insights. Activities commenced with a presentation on Thursday, Sept. 22nd at the office of Paulson & Co, where John Paulson discussed the current markets and provided updates on his funds. Subsequently, Mr. Paulson held a Q&A session to answer specific client questions.

Following the Paulson discussion, guests were invited to attend the CAIS Annual Dinner at the 21 Club. “We were glad to offer an open forum with industry leaders to discuss the trends and opportunities facing our clients,” said Rafay Farooqui, Managing Principal of CAIS. “ The innovation and advancements being made will continue to empower our clients and help us meet their needs.” Matt Brown, CEO of CAIS, welcomed guests with opening remarks about the need for innovation when meeting client needs. He focused on the ever changing wealth management landscape and CAIS’s drive to bring alternative investment solutions to its growing global client base.

Following the opening address, Dan Tapiero, the Co-Founder of Gold Bullion International (GBI), the leading institutional precious metals provider, discussed the current state of gold and the ability to access hard assets, specifically precious metals such as gold, platinum and silver. The events were broadly attended by CAIS clients, including advisors and senior management, service providers and platform managers. Mercer Investment Consulting, Schwab, Pershing, Deloitte, Highbridge Capital Management, D. E. Shaw Group and Millennium were represented among others. Rounding out the event, Izzy Englander, Founder and CEO of Millennium Management invited CAIS clients to attend a private breakfast the next morning held at the Millennium offices.
